Terms and Conditions

The reservation agreement and the amendment concerning the services of Spannort GmbH in Engelberg are for the hotel only binding if the Spannort GmbH and the client confirm it. The specific benefits are based on the reservation confirmation. Notify that the person, who signs for more than one Apartment, is liable for the entire invoice of the reservation.

If no other agreement exists, the apartments are ready on the day of arrival from 4pm. The apartment has to be returned on departure day by 10 am. Early Check-in may be possible upon request. Late Checkout may be possible upon request and against a surcharge.

Four weeks before the date of arrival advance payment of 100% of the total amount.

The final bill must be paid at the latest at departure by cash or credit card.
Rates/Prices and room availability are not guaranteed until the credit card details or a pre-payment (Via Invoice) have been received. The hotel may without any notice release reservations without credit card or a pre-payment guarantee.

If you would like to pre-pay your stay, please request an invoice. In case of a No-Show or late cancellation the total booking fee, according to our cancellation policy, will be charged to the registered credit card. Spannort GmbH takes the privacy of your personal data very seriously. Your personal information will only be used to process your booking.

Payment Policy for bookings in PeakSeason (24–31.12.2018)
In order to process and guarantee a booking in our peak season (24 – 31.12.2018) we require a pre-payment of 100% of the booking price, 30 days before arrival. Rates/Prices and room availability are not guaranteed until a full payment is received. Reservations without pre-payment may be released by hotel without any notice. We are a small property and cancellations can affect us hugely. We do have to enforce our cancellation policy and we strongly advise that you have a travel insurance to cover any unforeseen changes to your travel plans.

After the expiry of the term of payment, a late payment interest will be added to the invoice. Interest rate: 5% of the full invoice amount [OR 104 Abs. 1].


Cancellations Group Reservations and tour operators
After signing the contract, the following cancellation:
Up to 4 weeks before your arrival date, it is possible to cancel free of charge.
 Less than 4 weeks before your arrival date 100% of the group.

Cancellation Individual reservations (Standard rate)
15 to 0 days before arrival: 100% of the total booking price. .

When booking a package bid, the “package contents” cannot be replaced; there will be no refund if not used. Cancellation policy may differ with package deals.

Children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
Older children or adults are charged CHF 60.00 per night and person for extra beds. 
Extra beds and baby cots are available upon request and must be confirmed by the hotel.

Unless otherwise stated, prices are per apartment, in Swiss francs, including all taxes and VAT.

Well-behaved pets are welcome. If you bring your dog please inform the reservation desk. Due to more cleaning effort, we charge a cleaning fee of CHF 30.00 per night. Has to be pre-reserved.

Vouchers can be ordered online at www.spannort.ch. Credit card or bank transfer can pay for gift vouchers. If you change your mind, you can cancel a voucher within 24 hours of ordering it. We normally send vouchers out after 24 hours. This process may take longer when the hotel is closed between seasons. Vouchers are sent out worldwide and postage is free of charge.
If a voucher is not paid for within 14 days, it is automatically cancelled by Spannort and is therefore no longer valid. Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash. Gift vouchers are valid for 2 years. Gift vouchers can be redeemed in both hotel and restaurant.

We take your privacy very seriously.
Therefore, we follow clear guidelines and our employees are trained to handle your information with utmost care.

This privacy policy applies to customers and is a consent document. The privacy policy governs how data is processed and for what purposes. Please review the privacy policy before you share personal data with us. Existing customers are asked to contact us for any revocation of consent, correction or removal of personal data.

Spannort GmbH is personal data controller and is responsible for contractual relations regarding the purchase of hotel reservations, goods and services on its website (www.spannort.ch) and at Spannort Inn (physically at the apartment/hotel), as well as for other communications.

The privacy information below applies to the processing of personal data carried out by Spannort GmbH. Data is stored only for as long as necessary (defined by Spannort Inn GmbH) for data processing purposes. Some of the data may be stored despite the request for deletion in order to fulfil the contractual relationship and to comply with legislation.

When making a reservation at Spannort, we will only collect the most necessary information: name, address, nationality, e-mail address, a copy of passport/ ID (at Check-in) and telephone number. Information about check-in and check-out dates, hotel room category and total sums paid for your bills/reservation is stored in our database.

Your nationality is required at the time of check-in for the Swiss Statistical Authority.

As a customer, you have the right to access your customer information, have your customer information corrected, and have your customer information deleted. To request information about your personal data, you must send us a written and signed request. Database extracts can be requested free of charge once per calendar year; for additional extracts, Spannort GmbH may charge a fee.

Your e-mail address and regular address will not be used for direct marketing. At check-in, you have the opportunity to sign up and give your consent for our newsletter, which is sent digitally. You also have the opportunity to do so on our website. If you wish to be deleted from the newsletter list, you are entitled to prompt us to delete you from the list immediately.

We will ask for a credit card to confirm your booking with us at the time of such booking. The credit card is saved encrypted until the day you check out. This information will then be deleted automatically. Only authorized personnel have access to this information.

Spannort performs camera surveillance for crime prevention and in order to safeguard security. Video capture may be used for disclosure and investigative purposes in case of a crime (suspected crime). Image and video capture may be shared with third parties if there are legal grounds to do so.

All information stored in our database is encrypted and can only be accessed by authorised employees. Your information will never be given or sold to third parties.
Spannort GmbH reserves the right to update its privacy policies, if necessary. If deemed necessary, customers will be notified of the changes. Any changes will take effect only after they have been published on the site.

These general terms and conditions are subject to Swiss law. Spannort GmbH reserves the right to change these terms and conditions, and the products, services, prices, and programs mentiones in these terms and conditions at any time, at its sole discretion, without notice. Exclusive place of jurisdiction shall be Sarnen (Switzerland).
